Sahar TV to air “Prophet Joseph” series for Kurdish audience

TEHRAN -- The Iranian TV series “Prophet Joseph” is being dubbed into Kurdish for broadcasting on Sahar, an international Iranian TV channel available on satellite.

The first ten episodes of the series have already been dubbed into Kurdish, the director of the Iranian dubbing team Ahmad Naqadeh told the Persian service of IRNA.
“The team is working on the 45-part TV series at the dubbing center of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) department in the city of Mahabad,” he added.
Seyyed Khezr Abdollahi translated the series, Farhad Iranpanah dubbed the voice of the character Prophet Joseph (AS) in adulthood, Kajal Farhadi dubbed Zoleikha’s voice and Amir Mollapur is featured as the voice of Jacob, he added.
Directed by Farajollah Salahshur, the series focuses on the life of the Prophet Joseph (AS) from his childhood to adulthood.
Funded by Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Sahar is an Iranian TV station available via satellite, but is not seen in Iran. The station broadcasts in English, French, Kurdish, Bosnian, Azerbaijani and Urdu.
